Lilliput was conceived to respond to the need for quality child care. A child spends several hours away from home so it has become imperative to provide an environment that comes as close as possible to the home and which enriches the child's experiences and enhances their learning away from home. Lilliput attempts to bridge these needs. Towards this end, Lilliput will provide child care with a difference.
Children in the program will be exposed to several languages (Spanish, French, Tagalog, and German) as well as cultures (Jewish, Latin, Asian, and European). A challenging learning environment will be offered to encourage each child to reach their potential.
The learning environment plays an important role in developing a child's skills and abilities. A lot of patience and caring is necessary to nurture positive social behavior. Verbal communication encourages language development so that a child will learn to express feelings and perceptions verbally as they interact socially with others. Finally, creative thinking develops through the media of art, music, dramatic play, and learning activities presented in a relaxed ambiance. Hence, a child's self-concept evolves gradually and securely as they recognize and accept themselves as an individual and as a person in relation to their world.
A fee schedule will be provided during the observation visit.
We work on a "first come, first serve" basis, meaning, we have no wait-list. Please call for an observation visit if there is an opening. If you would like to reserve a place at our center, there is a $400 one time only, non-refundable registration/reservation fee.
A contract with our policies, registration forms, and parent handbook are given upon receipt of the registration deposit.
All teachers meet at least the minimum ECE qualifications according to Title 22 requirements and hold current First Aid and Infant CPR certification. Lilliput prides itself on a low teacher to child ratio of 1:3 and is licensed for 9 infants.
Parents are as much a part of Lilliput as their children and must commit themselves to the program. Involvement takes place in your cooperation with Lilliput's policies and adherence to procedures. Parents bring their own meals, milk, and extra snacks. Together we can create a wonderful second home and place of learning for our children.
